MBP came with iLife 06 ... Can i upgrade for free?

Hi Everyone,
Well, my beautiful machine is here, and oh my god, it really is beautiful. Anyway, I'm a little upset for a few reasons :-(
Firstly, and more importantly, it has come with iLife '06. Upsetting to say the least, what should I do about this? Can I call up the Apple Store that I purchased it from today, and let them know?
Secondly, and less importantly, I also got the old powerbrick. Not so important, but I guess Apple won't replace that for me?!

If you just purchased it today, call the Apple store you bought it from.

I bought one from the online store yesterday, and it looks like I'll be getting it with iLife 06 too . I knew that when I bought it, but hey.
If it makes you feel any better, there seem to be quite a few issues with '08 so maybe it's a mixed blessing.

Okay, sorry about the title.
I've had serious problems trying to update to iLife '08 now. I called AppleCare about it, and they directed me to the 'up-to-date' site, I filled it all in, but it says that the Serial number has already been used!? Crazy, huh.
So I called them again, and they said they'd put me through to customer relations for this problem, but then, I was told that customer relations isn't open until Monday, so I'll be giving them a ring then!!
