I have a great view, not a cloud in the sky, the moon is about 1/4 covered right now.
Sky will be red hopefully!

They were pretty much right on the money - fully eclipsed at 2:52-ish. Amazing how they can get that down to the minute! I work nights, and we were all outside just now watching. Pretty cool.

Sucky cloud cover-right now. Sigh. I have checked a couple of times, and no way I'll be able to see the eclipse. Drat! And forecasts say my sky is going to be bad for viewing anything pretty much all day. Yuck!

My Astro professor was telling us about it yesterday, we could apparently see it from about 5-6:30. No way I was getting up then.

Got up around 3:20 am to watch. Clouds disappeared around 3:30 for a perfect view. Totality here was around 4:00 am. Pretty cool.

Darn you and your Colorado elevation and good weather! No, it didn't clear off here in San Antonio until the sun was up high enough to make it hot. Grrrr.

I was out with two cameras, but sadly my lenses weren't up to the task (fuzzy red ping pong balls).
My friend had invested in some better glass and got this:
Spectacular show anyway.

So if it's not photoshoped, how is that done then?
It looks like two seperate shots (judging by the stars to the right) that have been overlayed or something

Since it's a 30s exposure towards the night sky, you can cover up the lens mid shot, reposition it (in this case zoom out) and keep exposing without any negative consequences.
