What is the purpose of that little square in a circle on the face of the iPod touch? Is it an iSight camera?

Home button, same as an iPhone, takes you back to the icon menu from wherever you are in the system.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

Ah, that makes sense. Is it mechanical or virtual?

I would have thought Apple would push for no mechanical components at all. Any thoughts?

This is used so say if your screen freezes up or losses connection, you still have a way to return to your home screen and be a bit more secure.
Also good for resets, because it is home+top power to do a full reset or something. Instead of having to hold top power button for X time for shut down, Y time for reset, and Z time for something else.
