I don't understand what happend. I just bought the song and I just purchased the ringtone JUST so I could try it out and this BS happens? How am I not authorized on my own computer.

You just have to double-click the ringtone to play it once and authorize it. For some reason, you have to re-enter your password for ringtones. Once you do that, it syncs fine.

There are still some noticeable bugs in the ringtone system, and I think perhaps Apple pushed out that update a little prematurely.

I think the authorization is part of Apple's appeasement of the RIAA (same goes for the fact that they're charging for ringtones).
