Hi all:
I've got an older G4 mini that's crashing regularly and I want to run Apple Hardware Test. I follow the instructions that I see everywhere:
- Insert Install Disc 1
- Restart with option key down and wait.
However, only the install disc and the OS X install show up. Any ideas how I can get hardware test running? Can I boot into the installer and run it from the terminal or something?
Thanks!

The manual and readme both say option. I think it was "D" if the computer shipped with a seperate hardware test disc.
Regardless, I tried "D" and it just booted off the HDD.
