When Leopard is released Friday, do Apple or other stores offer Tiger at a deep discount? If other stores do, any links to them?

apple doesn't. I don't know about others. You may be able to get it on ebay or craigslist for cheaper. I may sell my copy as well at some point in the future.

It will definitely drop in price on the second hand market. The trouble is there is no generic intel version of Tiger available.

Your best bet to get tiger cheap is ebay, and the market value of tiger should start decreasing.

There is ONLY a generic PPC version available (as ALL Intel machines have come with Tiger Install disks).

So the problem is that you can't sell your intel version of tiger to someone wanting to upgrade their ppc machine.
