Ok, so this guy, http://forums.macnn.com/member.php?u=59742, once posted this same thread in 2003.

It's 2006 people, and now I have the problem. I have a new mac mini duo intel. All my software is up to date.

The problem: When I want to view the source of any page, using Safari, I get a blank window???
Please explain how to fix this. Deleting safari's plist and reinstalling Safari does not work. Same problem. Apple should have resolved this 3 years ago.

Any suggestions?
Thanks in advance.

A.

I didn't have this problem before, but since I upgraded to Safari 3.0 I have it too. No matter what kind of web page, including some that I know have very basic HTML coding, I just get a blank page when I try to view page source. Running safari 3.0.4 with OSX 10.4.11 on a G5 power mac.

Problem solved. There's a lovely little utility called SafariSource that adds color-coding to the HTML you see in "view source" (similar to the color coding that's built-in to Firefox.) It installs as a SIMBL bundle in Library/applications support. I had installed it so long ago that I had forgotten and assumed it was just part of Safari. I needed to update to the newer version of this for it to work with Safari 3.
