Hello all-- Strange problem I'm having, and I hope someone can help me please. I can't seem to install the latest security update (2007-009 1.1) via Software Update. When I run it, I get this error:



So, I repaired permissions using Disk Utility, and this range of errors came up:

Permissions repair complete

Are these related? Can someone offer any advice?

From what I can tell, that's normal and does not affect your issue.

Do you have root user enabled?

I don't have it enabled. I am an administer-level account. Can't seem to figure this out.

Here's the direct link to download that update. While that doesn't fix your issue it's another way to download/install that Update without needing to use Software Updater.

You could boot from your install media and run Disc Utility from there to see if you can repair things.
