All of a sudden my FireWire 400 port on my MacBook is not working! When I go to the System Profiler it says "Unable to list FireWire devices."

My FireWire drive works on another computer so it's not the drive that is the problem. Is this something that I can fix or troubleshoot or do I have to take it to an Apple Store?

Thanks!!

Shut down your machine. Unplug your AC adaptor and battery for 10 min. and then restart the machine.

I will try that when I have time. So far, I have reset the PRAM x 3 one after another and reset Open Firmware (yes, I know it's not called Open Firmware).

Also, after restarting the drive wouldn't work but the warning sign went away, but after a few minutes the warning sign came back.
