I'm curious why two young, presumably healthy, kids will drop dead...

Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown,
And things seem hard or tough,
And people are stupid, obnoxious or daft,
And you feel that you've had quite eno-hou-hou-hou-hou-hoooooooough.
Just re-member that you're standing on a planet that's evolving and revolving at nine-hundred miles an hour.
That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second, so it's reckoned, a Sun that is the source of all our power.
The Sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see, are moving at a million miles a day,
In an outer-spiral arm at forty-thousand miles an hour, of the Galaxy we call the Milky Way.
Our galaxy itself contains a hundred-billion stars, it's a hundred thousand lightyears side to side.
It bulges in the middle, sixteen-thousand lightyears thick, but out by us it's just three-thousand lightyears wide.
We're thirty thousand lightyears from Galactic central point, we go round every two-hundred-million years.
And our Galaxy is only one of millions of billion in this amazing and expanding Universe
The Universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding in all of the directions it can whizz.
As fast as it can go, the speed of light you know, twelve-million miles a minute and that's the fastest speed there is.
So remember when you're feeling very small and insecure how amazing unlikely is your birth.
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space, 'cos there's buger all down here on Earth!

Generalissimo Francisco Franco is still dead
For those of you that are too young to know what this all about, it was a Chevy Chase newscast on SNL.

According to "unnamed sources" in a recent Forbes' magazine profile of Steve Jobs, he waited nine months, after being diagnosed, to have surgery. Of course, there is no way to know if these sources are truthful or accurate.

I concur with awaspaas on the Abe Vigoda prediction, but think his age is closer to 270. I saw him in a revolutionary war painting.
However, Keith Richards has been dead for quite some time. He just doesn't know it.

That's because I am brilliant and original! Thank you for noticing.
No, I really didn't know what they are called. I've not seen a "dead pool" here and I don't really participate in other forums.

A dead pool sounds like a smaller version of the dead sea, and both are not filled with dead people. or are they?

I don't think you realize that I was joking about the Dirty Harry thing. It's not like I thought it was a coincidence or something.

all i'm saying is the OP described in detail a subject that has a phrase that means exactly what he took oh so many words to describe. just say the phrase. i was hoping he/she already knew it and but if not, i threw the phrase out there.
you add your humor; and i replied back with the edjit comment. edjit is just a light hearted term to poke fun at someone.
