I have a couple iPhone medical web apps that get pretty good usage. I have had an untold number of people request a native application. I have always replied that I would need to wait and see what the SDK looked like. Unfortunately, I have never done genuine computer programing. Ever. Nada. Zilch. So how do I learn XCode and C or whatever it uses? I have downloaded a few of the demo apps and been able to modify them in XCode and seem o understand it on a very superficial level. I need some sugestions on where to go to learn this stuff.
Edit: Mods, if this should be in "Development" instead feel free to move it.

I can't even figure out how to get the SDK downloaded. I log in to ADC, but I get access denied when clicking on the download link for the SDK.

Where are you downloading apps from?
In my kit, all the apps are crossed-out /SDK/Aspen1.2 sdk/Applications
thanks!

iPhone Dev Center (Updated) You'll need to register/log in first before you can download the example applications.

@osiris if you log out then back in all your new apps should show there true icons. In fact even with the slash across the app I was able to launch the simulator no problems.
Side note many apps, for instance VLC will show a slash across the icon when just installed but work fine. To get the app icons to display correctly a simple log out/in is required. At least that's how it is on my machine.
Cheers

Wierd. When I log in I can click on all the sample code stuff. Maybe you're just not special enough? Sorry I can't be more help.

But "Bubble Level" broke my virtual iPhone's motion switch.
