When I try to open any PDF file with Preview, the utility launches but doesn't open the file. Quick Look displays the file without problems. When I log into another account on the same machine, it does fine.

This would point to corrupted preferences, wouldn't it?

I deleted com.apple.Preview* from ~/Library/Preferences, but that was enough. What am I overlooking?

Is it only pdf files... or do png, jpeg, etc., files also not appear?

When you open a pdf, does its filename show up in the Window menu?

Could this be a "Spaces" issue? (and, what OS version are you running?)
