Why did the exercise machine call me a slut?

The gym I use has some exercise machines set to display English, others Dutch, and a few in French. Yesterday I was using one in Dutch and when I finished my 30 minutes it promptly displayed:
SLUT!
And then as it cycled through the distance, calories burned and such it displayed this:
SNITT FART
Still not sure if someone was having a little fun with the machine or those are the appropriate Dutch words.

Those are appropriate words, but I forget what they mean.
Oisín can tell you, though.

I think it may have been set to Swedish.
Slut means end and snitt means average. Not sure what fart translates to.

I'd be worried.
How the heck did the exercise machine err on your gender ?

Swedish? Hmm... I just assumed Dutch since that's the official language here. Although I rarely ever here it spoken... just as I NEVER see the official currency (Netherlands Antilles Guilder). It's all English language and U.S. currency. This place is so Americanized you'd think it was part of the USVI.

I've heard, though I have no idea if this is true, that the Dutch would rather learn your language rather than suffer through your failure to speak Dutch properly.

This is true. Fart means ‘speed’.
I had a hunch this might have been the case before even opening the thread.

Well, let the question be asked. Are you?

Who do you think you are that you can ask that kind of intimate question ?
The exercise machine ?

On elevators in Denmark (and Sweden, perhaps?), there’s a little sign by the buttons that lights up when the elevator is in motion. It says, I FART (which literally means ‘in motion’).
There’s an urban legend that they covered all these little signs with duct tape when Queen Elisabeth visited Denmark.
