I like using lapel clips to clip my earbud cord to me and limit its movement. Usually I take them from wired cell phone headsets, but those are becoming rare now and I need to purchase some. While they're ubiquitous for many wired products, it doesn't appear to be something that's sold standalone. I was wondering if anyone here has found a solution for this.

You know the little clips that hold ID badges? Get some of those. Office Depot and OfficeMax should have them. Use a small rubber band to bind the cord where you want it in the little plastic strap, and you're golden.

I know it ain't Apple style, but it works. Before I went Bluetooth, I did this for my wired headset, and it worked much better than any of the solutions that came with different headsets. Those were always either too tight, too loose, or too small to manipulate. The badge clip is "just right" to quote Goldilocks.

It's all good. But I hope my suggestion is helpful, as goofy as it sounds. It came out of ear-pulling desperation, and I think some enterprising soul should come up with something that's a little less dorky-looking but just as functional.

I'd say ghporter's suggestion has an excellent DIY feel to it. I'll be rigging one up immediately (literally dozens of those things within arm's reach of my desk!)

Clips? I just put the cord under my shirt.
