This surprises me. Then again, I suppose they can’t be that much different from those folding beach bed thingies, if you manage to avoid the springs along the edges.Jumping castles would probably be comfier to me, though.
(Incidentally, precisely whose eyes is it that you hate?)

Just think of it as a stiff hammock. It really feels good to fall asleep on one in the shade on a hot afternoon.
We're so hijacking this thread but I've had this username for years now and It's kind of just stuck since I've been used to it and it's easier to remember.
I use it for everything.

It’s sort of frowned a bit upon in serious threads (mostly non-Lounge ones), but in silly threads like this one, it’s bound to happen anyway.

We can get back on topic by simply having someone post something like:
"Hey, hatehereyes, how did you get that third picture to look like that?"
</sneaky admin trick>
Seriously, what effect in what package did you use?

It's jsut the effects in photobooth.
More precisely the colored pencil effect.
I also use iGlasses also.

Interesting-it looks better rendered than a lot of the Photobooth stuff I've seen. Of course most of that was "let's mess with the demo computer and do all sorts of stupid stuff with it" kinds of pictures, so I really haven't seen it done well.

I think it turned out that way because of all the settings you can mess with in iGlasses.

I got a XTi when they first came out and am still shooting with it. I am cheap.
Plus I was so impressed with the pictures the guy from [daily dose of imagery] was taking with the XT that I was convinced I didn't need more than a XTi. But I played with the 50D and love the images per second speed. And it felt so good in my hands.

I'm really impressed by my XTi's capabilities. I'm still figuring out how to do various things with it (I've had it slightly over a year, but haven't had a lot of play time with it). I think so far the only things I think could be better is a faster stills per second speed and a bigger buffer for those pictures. Otherwise this is more camera than I'm ready to take advantage of. And I still need to save up for a decent flash...
I hope to have a couple of pictures of myself to post later in the week. I'm getting ready for my graduation Saturday, and I have a lot of family that can't come here for the ceremony, so I want to get plenty of pictures for them. Plus the professional pictures taken at the event, of course.

I must say that I'm REALLY impressed by this guy who uses a Nikon D40 and this guy who uses an Olympus E-300. They can use cameras of several years ago and still kick the sh*t out of most photographers who ponce around with the latest EOS - no insults intended to the present posters on this thread.
Makes one realise that you do not need 54 billion mega-turbo-pixels and ISO-480000000 to take good pictures.

It just goes to show you that knowledge of lighting and manual camera settings goes a long way.

Uhmmm, there was good photography before digital. It's just a different way of doing things. The goal is still the same. New tools don't always mean better work, but new tools often mean faster work.

Sorry, I fail to see what that has to do with what I posted. Both of the people I linked to above use digital cameras.

Haha, I was late to adopt digital, so I assumed that "several years ago" means film.

As well as knowledge of digital post-processing. I've seen some throw-away shots saved by good editing. Nothing saves a blurry shot though.

D40 is well known to have awesome image quality in it's 6MP sensor.

I like seeing 'skill'. In sport, in paintings, in sculpture, in photos. When I see what people can do without using the latest and greatest it deserves recognition.
The thanks are from me.

Nah, he's in front of the Toyota Prius* cab. He'll be "flattened" at a leisurely, and fuel efficient, 15.6 MPH.
*NYC law dictates that ALL NYC yellow cabs must be hybrid by 2012 or 2013.

Hey, that's good! How about "every city bus in service in the united states must be American by 2010"? That would be a good rule around here

I think that has more to do with which models AC Transit chose than on which continents were made.
We drive European buses here and (with all due respect to Bay Area buses) I far prefer ours to the ones in San Francisco.
