Here's the scenario: Going on a trip and taking iPad, no computer. Prior to heading out, I will update podcasts to listen to on the plane. When ready to head home, want to update podcasts again for the trip back. I can't seem to find a way to do this. I guess I could go into the iTunes store and search them out one by one, but that does not seem like a very managable way. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for your help!

I've actually been in a similar position lately. My desktop computer died about 2 weeks ago, and I haven't gotten a replacement yet. I subscribe to 2 TV shows and numerous podcasts. I haven't found a way to have them automatically download new episodes either. I've been manually going in and downloading each one. Sucks.
I hope they solve this in OS 4.0.

You shouldn’t have to actually search in the iTunes Store, though you still have to use it. The catch is you need to keep at least one episode of each desired podcast on your iPad. Then when you go to that podcast in the iPod app, at the bottom of the list is a “Get More Episodes” item. That’ll take you to the podcast’s page in the Store, where you can download more episodes. Unlike in the App Store, you won’t get kicked out to the homescreen every time you hit a “Free → Get Episode” link.
Not as easy as “update podcast” directly in the iPod app, but not awful if you’re not trying to get too many episodes.

Agreed. The pain is when you want to update more than one podcast. It's painful going back and forth between the iPod app and iTunes Store. It's unfortunate that the iTunes Store can't just show us which podcasts we're subscribed to.

Exactly my point! You know iTunes knows what you have subscribed to, how easy would it be to simply show you that in a pane and let you update from there! Maybe something will come out of the next update.

Ah, I missed that in the Podcasts area.
I wish there was a way to manage your Passes too. Trying real hard to be without a desktop computer, but I can't download the TV shows I subscribe to. Still need a computer for that, as far as I know.
Come on OS 4, don't let me down!
