I haven't checked any of those apps out, but a simple free technique is to Option click the app you want to be clutter free and all other apps will hide and you have a clutter free workspace.
You could also use spaces and dedicate the app you want to be clutter free to it's own space, just remember if you launch a new app while in that space it will be assigned that space until you close that app.
You can also assign apps you don't want appearing in X space their own space, so when they launch, they won't interfere with the app you've assigned to the space your working in so it stays clutter free.
