A question from my wife's office...
They are looking for a group messaging app that also allows them to include photos with the messages. Currently, they are using Social Chair for their group messaging, but it doesn't allow photos, as far as they can discover. I suggested the following apps, but I'd like to hear any other recommendations you might have, as well as opinions on these three. Everyone's using iPhones with iOS5.
Apple's Messages
GroupMe
Liveshare
Pros? Cons? Alternatives?

Simple MMS doesn't work due to the inability to create custom groups in Contacts. They need the ability to create groups and save the groups as a single contact entry. Apps like Social Chair do that.

Thanks. I'll pass it on.
I got more information today that their wishes may not be possible to meet. Now, they're saying they would like something like I first described (custom groups, text, pictures) that also works across all mobile platforms...iOS, Android, WinMo, and Blackberry. That last one pretty much puts the "Ain't gonna happen" stamp on this idea, I'm afraid.

That may be the only way to make it work. But that staff lives and breathes text messaging.

Do people need to create their own groups, or can group creation be centralized?
The latter may offer a server-client type option where the company runs the server.

Also, is everybody on the same carrier?
Unlikely of course, but it doesn't hurt to ask.

Individuals will create their own groups.
They aren't going to run their own server.
Mostly, everyone is on AT&T. A couple on Verizon. There are some outside people who would be on other carriers, I think.

on a phone, sending an email is as easy as text messaging. So I don't see why not.
