Instead of having a new thread for each new or different TV related topic, why not have this be the one thread for general TV related discussions?

Here's the first post on topic:

I just watched an episode of the 1960's TV show, The Partridge Family. In it, an 11 year old, Jodie Foster has a crush on a young Danny Bonaduce (who can be seen in TrueTV's "The World's Dumbest").

Wow!

Bonaduce has a story which I think helps explain why he's so psycho.

He said he was at Thanksgiving dinner with his mother in New Jersey. His dad calls from LA. Mom gets in a fight, tells him off, and hangs up.

Everyone is pretty shocked. Danny's mom didn't usually stick up for herself like that.

Five hours later there's a knock at the door. It's Danny's father, who can't walk and is in a wheelchair, yet flew all the way out to say he can talk to her "HOW AND WHEN I WANT".

In a way, Danny should be considered lucky. And, no, I won't explain.

WTF did Sean Young do to destroy her career? She was great in Stripes. She was great in Blade Runner. She was great in No Way Out. Then I think she just disappeared.

Anyone know what happened?

Also, the Industry is pretty ruthless to women as they age. Even if she was clean now, nobody would want her.

One of the things I dug about Alias was they went out of their way to give gigs to older actresses.

I once worked with a cook who looked like Jennifer Garner but was prettier than JG. She broke my heart when she got preggers with another cook.

Kenny Loggins
Lead singer from Faith No More
Charles Manson

It looked like it was breaking a little too bad for me. It sorta frightened me, like Sons of Anarchy does.

Its a FICTION DRAMA ON TV. Nothing to be frightened about. Its a slow moving train wreck you can't turn away from.

There once was a time when I feared choosing what would've been a perilous path.

Those two shows remind me of that time.

I don't watch those two shows.

While watching ET I discovered that Paul Schaeffer co-wrote the 1970's disco hit, "It's Raining Men."
