I have a 18 month old Pismo and unless my eyes are playing tricks on me, it appears the the screen is turning pink-ish. I notice it more when working with word (or anything with a white background).

I guess I am wondering if this is common fault? Does this happen?
Will it get worse..it's not too bad right now?
What is causing it?
I have AppleCare, Should I call them or will Apple bush me off with this one?

Any experiences for users out there is most welcomed.

Thanks,
DNA man

I've got the same machine and yes, this happens sometimes. It usually goes away if I open and close the screen lid... I'm thinking it must be the wires.
Also, sometimes, I see some sort "colour movement" ... where certain colours seem to ... vibrate and turn grayish (or sometimes pink).

It's a pretty well known problem with the screen. You should go to Apple and get the screen replaced. Especially since you have Apple Care. I was pretty lucky because my screen went pink just before my 1 year warranty ran out. They replace it no problem.

This happened to my Pismo. I sent it in and got a new LCD screen and connector. No problems at all since.

Thanks guys! It's good to hear that Apple has no problem with replacing the screen. I'll use my apple care after I'm done with the current project I'm working on.
