So I was thinking about some people here that haven't posted in maybe over 10 years. Like Phil (philzilla) and Ca$h.
Name your favorites.

Wow, I heard the news and figured I should get in one last post. It’s been about 6 years since my last login and about 13 years since I actively spent time time in here. I was never super active but I do recognize a lot of those names. Did Ca$h ever resurface over the years? It's been so long he could just about have his own teenagers trolling the internets these days...

I figured he was in a field of cubicles somewhere in DC, getting paid by the post.

He quit this place in like 2002, then spent the next 13 years coming back and complaining about how much this place sucked. He finally gave it up and stopped coming back in the past couple of years. The last pic he posted of a girlfriend was far beyond safe birthing age, so no kids to speak of...

Was that Sky Captain or a Spliffdaddy alter-ego? Both alright in my book. And Doofy. They were my favourite guys from the other side of the political fence.

There were a few prolific people who suddenly stopped posting out of nowhere. I always wondered what happened to them - if they suddenly went cold turkey, or ashes to ashes like ebuddy with no contingency for family to kindly update.
I have wondered about Shif from time to time. She seemed unstable, which all of us likely are at some points along the way, and I always wondered if she ever became an adult and found her path.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

No, it was Calverson, I drew his name for Secret Santa one year and the postage was as much as his gift.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure he had just made fun of your dying cat or something. It was a shitty match. I was the matchmaker

Tnproud2b came to us from a rival distributed computing team. We were taunting each other from the Team forum, and on his board. Overclockers-somethingorother. He and a few others stuck around and posted for awhile.
When I checked just now, Tnproud2b was banned. The note shows I did it in 2002 after he got in a fight with the mod staff. I don't even remember the details. Ban lifted.

He did, but I just gritted my teeth and sent his DVDs anyway. The note I attached "from Santa" was satisfying, though, and really wound him up. So that was good. At least you're finally admitting the selection wasn't random, as you claimed at the time.

I assumed he was saying the randomness caused a shitty match.

I do... at least here.
But this would come even from the less charitable me. That's honestly what I thought he meant.
I think he may have even been trying to be nice.

I liked so many of his posts had the same, three sentence construction.
My MacNN Forums claim to fame is I was one of the few who happened to be in the feedback lounge when he finally went nuclear.
He had so much energy, I'm surprised he honored his ban all this time.
