Forza Horizon 3. Based in Australia. City, beach, outback. 4 player co op. Biggest car range of any Horizon game (demo showed the Ariel Nomad). 'Play Anywhere' Xbox and Windows 10 (A lot of games are going to have this cross platform Xbox/PC launch). September 27th.
This game looks absolutely gorgeous! The Horizon games have so much content and seeing this makes it a definite pre-order purchase for me! 4 player co-op on cross platforms just adds to the depth and fun factor of the game.
I think having the Xbox/Win 10 crossover is Microsoft's way of promoting digital copies. Has anyone confirmed if the physical disc copies can be played on both platforms?

Agreed! I've almost 100% completed the game including the DLC. Still working on winning all 168 championships. It's definitely a grind!

Game with the most buzz generating for Xbox is We Happy Few. Set in an alternative post WWII England that lost the war the citizens of Welington Wells are taking a happy drug called "joy" and are taking it to forget their horrific past. People who don't take the pill are called "downers" and the citizens don't take too kindly to them.
This game is developed by Compulsion Games and definitely has a Bioshock feeling to it. Maybe because some of the employees are ex-Bioshock devs. Keeping an eye on this one as the release date nears.

Yeah you can deffo waste time doing barn finds, racing rivals, and trying for those speed trap records. Then you find you've spent three hours but done nothing for the championships. I enjoy it much more than 'normal' Forza though.

I can't think of a single console that impressed me more aesthetically. That design is beautiful.

I'm still catching up from a week out, so I haven't even had a chance to watch the trailer. At this point, I don't know if I care. It's definitely not a day-one purchase for me anymore.
...until I watch the trailer, get misty-eyed, and pre-order.

Ticky thing: look at the low poly count on that cliff at the 1:00 mark. Holy crap, Nintendo.
The one game that has me crazy-excited is Insomniac's Spider-Man. I know it's only a trailer so far, but their track record is pretty great, and a good Spider-Man game is long overdue.
Might have to pick up the slim XBox One, it'll be the cheapest 4K player on the market.
I don't know gow I feel about the Neo or Project Scorpio. Both MS ans Sony are saying they will mandate backwards compatibility but I'm almost positive SquareEnix (or whoever) will tell them they need the processing power of the new consoles and we'll effectively have started a new generation.
I knew that with 4k around the corner this generation was going to be underpowered, but hopefully this is a fluke and we aren't moving to a 3-year cycle from here on out... The sad part is I'm sure Nintendo was hoping to get out in front of them with a legitimately powerful console (for once) and unless they go back to the drawing board they'll be stuck with inferior specs AGAIN... Which means no third party support.
As much as I love Nintendo I wish they'd just do like Sega and publish on other consoles (though they could probably keep the portables and do okay there).
I don't think it will be hard for game developers to make games that work on both consoles. They will make sure to show the screenshots from the improved models everywhere that counts and then just tune down the effects and the textures on the lower-end model.
In general, I think this is where the console market needs to go. Regular updates with backwards compatibility. The PS3/360 generation was way too long.
The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.
Sky is apparently suing everyone and their grandmother at the moment, because they changed their named from British Sky Broadcasting to BSkyB to just Sky. They're claiming "confusion" with everyone using the word sky. Well, who's fault is that, then?

Can't link from work, Gamespot has an interesting article on No Man's Sky. The numbers are actually beyond comprehension. A definate buy for the PC for me.
Two incredibly prominent YouTubers were busted advertising a gambling CS:GO site called CSGOLotto without disclosing that they were, in fact, owners of the site. Federal charges are likely, and civil suits are about to unload on them.
I'd recommend watching the entire H3H3 video I posted to show how scummy their actions truly were. After accidentally displaying his user names for the illegal site(s) during a live stream, TmarTn immediately went into damage control, acting like he had already disclosed that he was the owner. Unfortunately, footage still exists proving otherwise, including one in which he pretends to stumble across the site, recommends it, and says, "These guys are talking to me, and might even sponsor the channel!"
...despite his name being on the company's charter.
