There seems to be nothing I can do to get video mirroring to work. I plug in the s-video to RCA adapter, plug the RCA cable into the TV video in, and nothing. The "Help" system tells me to check the control strip and select "video mirroring on", but the video mirroring module does not appear in my control strip at all, even though it is in the control strip modules folder. Do I have a defective video out?

By the way, I have tried this at all video settings, all the way down to 640x480 to no avail, and I have even installed a clean system folder, restarted from that, and no difference. Meanwhile, I have something in my exyensions folder called "Video Out Default (PAL)" which has a generic icon. Even in my reinstalled clean system folder the icon is generic. What's the matter? Is this icon generic in everyone else's extensions folder?

All I want to do is watch a DVD on the TV.

Put the TiPB to sleep - plug in the s-video cable - wake up the machine. you should see the mirroring module in the control strip. this info is actually in the user manual too...

good luck

Hi Tonton,
I don't believe watching DVD's via video mirroring is supported (the ati card can't mirror the dvd video on both monitors)... you need to open up the monitor control panels, drag the toolbar to the second monitor then play the dvd.
good luck
