Hello All!
I have been lurking here for the past 7 months as I waited for a Ti Revision and it is finally out. I plan on ordering one, but since it is without the combo drive that most of us hoped for it is also time to start shopping for a Firewire cd-rw. I am planning on getting a 24X and narrowed it down to a QPS, LaCie, Clubmac and a Formac. They range from $249-290. I was favoring the Formac for its form factor and the hermetically sealed casing, but came across this

on the pbsource website. It is a 24X with the Oxford 911 chipset for $183. This is the cheapest 24X I have seen. Does anyone know anything about this company, Alina Micro? It looks just like an internal drive in a Firewire enclosure and it is quite ugly, but it is very cheap. Any thoughts? Which would you buy keeping in mind that I want to spend the least possible for a burnproof 24X? Also, is 24X worth the extra 60-100 bucks more than 16X? Any help would be greatly appreciated
