I am trying to add memory to a friends PowerMac 7600/120 that currently shows that it has 80MB ... not sure what the size of the chips are, but they are filling 4 of the 8 slots. Not really sure how it is adding up to 80MB - thought RAM came in 8/16/32/48/64 etc... sizes. I have a 7500/100 with lots of RAM, so I took a 64MB DIMM and put it in the next slot available in the 7600 ... when I reboot, it only shows 88MB RAM ... I tried pushing the reset button on the motherboard but made no difference.

any ideas? i have the current RAM matched in slots A1 B1 & A2 B2 ... my 7500 book says that I can add RAM one at a time, so I am at a loss.
