Why do they put "works with all Apple systems released in August 1998 or later" as a requirements for iTunes if it also runs on my PowerMac 7300?

More of a "supported" issue than a "works with" issue. They aren't going to test for compatibility with every system that may still be out there. They simply aren't making any promises to anyone with machines dating back any earlier than 1998. Doesn't mean you can't get it to work.
