Has anyone ever seen a CD Bezel for the top 5.25 bay for a PowerMac/Performa 6400/6500? I've seen plenty (and have one) of the ZIP bezels, and I've even seen a Jaz bezel, but I have a CD ROM drive in both 5.25 bays and I want a CD bezel for it so It doesn't look so shtty

I used to have a 6500 and wondered the same thing. I dont recall ever seeing anything except a HD or a Zip in the top bay. Given that, I do not think your chances of finding a cd bezel are real good.

FWIW- Have you checked out just buying a new solid bezel and cutting a slot for the cd tray to slide out of?

I have a ZIP bezel i can cut if i have to, but it won't look any good if i do. The bay is a 5.25, so you'd think they would have made a CD/DVD bezel for it.

And, it jsut occured to me, if I ever wanna open the thing, i'd need a button in the bezel to push the eject button.

Sorry man,

I have a 6500 too and I do not believe any CD/DVD covers were ever made for the top bay. This is one area I have always not agreed with Apple on.

Take Care,
Nick

Here is some inspiration for cutting your own bezel out of a zip bezel:
