I'm a home user who has recently upgraded my StarMax 5000/225 running OS 8.6 with a Newer Technology Max Power G-3 L2 card (300mhz & 512k backside cache model). For any Motorola user considering an economical upgrade, this is the way to go. I'm no techie, yet installing the software and cache card was quick and painless. The syetem started and ran flawlessly the first time. You will still be able to boot from an emergency disk, with or without the Max Power software copied to it, without a problem.
