How sure are you that it's the SCSI controller...?

Considering I just sold my PowerBook G3/333 with a bad LCD screen for $50, I don't honestly think you will get much for that.

yeah right now I have a 8500 on ebay with 160MB of RAM a G3 processor and running Mac OS X.1 and nobody has bid on it yet. So I doubt you would get much, someone might want your powersupply if they blew yours but check and see if someone has one on ebay first before you waste your money

Frankly, the computer is worth more if you put a little money in it. This is a great time to get 6500 guts and upgrade. I'm confused as to what makes you think that your SCSI is out?

Well i had to replace the CD drive and it still didnt work, then the computer would crash on start up. My brother who is pretty good with older macs figured that it was the SCSI bus.

How would I gut the thing for a 6500?

Dose anyone thnk the Ram would work in my 7300?? I havent checked

Both use 168 pin DIMMs... should be fine.

Tullamore; how much are you selling the 8500 for?

Find a 6500 mobo and put it in your 6400. Or, buy a 6500 and use the 6400 for spare parts.

Get her working!
