Posted this question on many a newsgroup but i have never got an answer. How do i set up MT Newswatcher to download and decode .rar and .r files. Many a a cool anime flik has slippe dthrough my grasp because icant get it to work. Can anybody tell me how to configure MT Newswatcher to do this and what .r decoding utility is best. Also is .r and .rar just the same thing? Thanks in advance.

.rar and .r are a format that the program 'winrar' uses.. i am on PCs.. and i dont think its available on mac. maybe i am wrong... but goto downloads.com and look for winrar ..... hope that helps some

I can't answer the hole question, but I do know that Aladdin Stuffit Expander 6.0 supports .rar! But I prefer MacRar (check www.download.com), because I had some problems with Stuffit Expander and the .rar extension...

Another thing: Aladdin Stuffit Expander can only decode, but MacRar can also encode!
