Is anyone here using microsoft's intellimouse for games in os x? i'm having trouble with using the left and right buttons. in quake/UT/Wolf they are set to strafe left and right, no matter what else i set them to. they will even strafe while performing the actions they are set too. if i go into microsoft's control panel, and set those buttons to "none", then i can't use them at all.

anyone else have this problem?

in the most recent version of the UT beta the left and right are preset to scroll through your weapons. Don't have wolf yet and haven't used Q3 in ages...

but no I have not had your problem.

I have one, and I can't figure out how to override what seem to be hard-coded configs in RTCW for the two thumb buttons (turn left/right). The Intellimouse control panel doesn't seem to do this.

Anyone?

it worked fine for me. go into the intellimouse control panel, chose add. pick wolfenstien (you have to pick SP and MP seperately) and click on disable features for the chosen program.

then go map your mouse in wolf's settings. it worked fine here. not sure if you need to restart or anything, but i doubt it.

Work fine for me in Tactical Ops (UT Mod). I use the left and right side buttons for next and previous weapon. I've never been able to get the scroll wheel (not scroll click) to do anything in either 9 or X though.

Strange, I didn't have any problems in assigning the up and down wheel for next and prev weapon. Got fried the first few times because I got them the wrong way around though...

Haven't tried UT in X yet, though.
