Does Office 2001 include a new 2001 version of PowerPoint viewer that will be able to handle some of the new Powerpoint transitions, animations, etc?

I know 2001 Powerpoint shows will work on Powerpoint Viewer for 98, but I don't think the new Quicktime transitions work.

Can anyone shed light on this?

Well, I haven't tried this feature yet (just got my upgrade yesterday and haven't had time to play with it yet), but PowerPoint 2001 has the ability to export your presentations as a QuickTime movie.

At least in some situations, this substitutes for a dedicated viewer (and your QuickTime transistions are intact!).
