Corel WP had an option of automatically changing two spaces to one for those of us who sometimes hit space bar twice between words. I can't find this anywhere under MS Word 2001. Does anyone know if there is such a feature for Autocorrect?

Thank you.

I'll be curious to learn if such an option exists too. I tried just entering two spaces in the first Autocorrect field and one in the second, but Word doesn't recognize the spaces as words, so there is no way to add it to the change criteria.

Short of finding an autocorrect solution, the only thing I can think of (because I do it at work in QuarkXpress all the time) is to use the search and replace feature to change all double spaces to single spaces.

That's what I have been doing - search and replace.

Do you mean that you can't set up Autocorrect to do this? (I'm sorry I can't verify this now because I'm on a [Gasp!!] PC)
