I've lost IE completely and was wondering if there's any place to download it from so I don't have to use the OS X Install CD. It would be a pain in the ass to have to reinstall OS X just for IE. (And please, don't tell me to just use OmniWeb because IE is necessary for some sites).

I'm sorry but Explorer is not available on the Net. I don't know why Microsoft hasn't put it yet on the Net.

What?
Microsoft's site claims you can install it off the OS X cd. I don't think you have to do a full OS X reinstall just to recover IE?

If you use Pacifist (find it on versiontracker) you can select to install just IE, w/o a full re-install.
Otherwise, if you email me [ [email protected]] I could stuff and make it available to you, I suppose.
good luck!

I wish I could say that... I'm about ready to stop holding my breath waiting for a better browser than M$. I hate using it so much I almost didn't switch from OS9 but I hate using all the other ones more. I've used them all from iCab to Opera, Mozilla, Netscape Omni, Chimera; I really want to like them, but I always go back. I download and try every new version of every one that comes out, but I still am always disappointed. Explorer has always just worked, and I can't imagine trying to go without it anymore. So sad that M$ makes the best browser. Just sad.

I love the U.S., but we need some time apart.

The nightly build of Mozilla is good enough were I'm using it again instead of Omni/Mail.

Get it here. Note that this is 5.1.4 English version only, all the other localizations are gone on my system. I will also take this down in 24 hrs, so get it soon.
