Over on Slashdot there's a discussion going on about Jordan Hubbard, one of the early BSD developers, and his recent acquisition of a job at Apple working on the OSX systems. This might be a good place for Mac users to chime in and try and get some converts.

Just remember to take it easy, Slashdot readers are real grammar nazis, and there's a pretty large number of trolls under that bridge.

Dude, Mac users don't _need_ to go and plug the OS because Slashdot types are already doing it for us. In fact, I'm kind of noticing more enthusiasm for X from Open Source fans than I am from a lot of mac people, who have money invested in older versions of Mac OS.

I saw two shooting stars last night,
I wished on them, but they were only satilites,
its wrong to wish on space hardware,
I wish, I wish, I wish you'd care.

Mac users are pretty spoiled when it comes to usability, hence a lot of the current dissatisfaction. Linux and OSS users have much lower expectations when it comes to using Unix. Even a flawed GUI that can run Photoshop and MS Office can still run Photoshop and Office.
Find out just what any people will quietly submit to and you have found out the exact measure of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them.
