I`ve got a HP Deskjet 990 cxi and in windows my printer works preaty good and very quick. In osx i have to wait very long to print 10 words in seperate lines. What can i do ? update driver?

I wouldnt say that my box is too slow, ive got a pm 867 with 384mb ram and runnin osx 10.1.4

Sometimes i do print some cd covers and other stuff and it would kill me if i had to wait 10 mins for one sheet.

Did you install the HP DeskJet 1.3 drivers? They improve speed a lot.

yep, I have had the same problem, the new drivers fixed all speed problems for me. You should be able to find them on versiontracker.com .

i agree with my friend kovacs, but still my Deskjet 970 Cxi needs a few seconds more time to get ready for printing under OS X than under 9. But after it starts printing everything has the right speed...
