Ive read the the cisco VPN client doesn't work in Jag. Is there any news on this?

The President of my company uses a Mac (despite the IS staff) and I know he has ordered Jag. Does anyone know why it doesn't work and when a fix might be available?

Actually, the version of the VPN5000 client I have works.

When you boot, it gives you a warning about the KEXT file...just hit "use" and it works fine!

especially ones with political tripe in them.

We have a 3000. Do you think this is something that will be easily fixed?

Have you confirmed that it doesn't work?

People were saying that the 5000 client didn't work either, but that was based on their experiences with pre-6C115 builds.

So, verify that it doesn't work first....

Well that is hopeful then. I don't have access to any pre-release builds, so I'll have to wait until after the 24th.

I know 10.2 does some different things in regards to VPN, any idea how much is changed?

All I know is that with 10.1, I clicked the VPN5000 icon.

It asked for username, then secureID key.

once authenticated, I was tunneled in.

With 10.2, at boot, it says something like:

"VPN5000.kext might cause your system to be less secure. yadda yadda yadda..."

I clicked "Use" and it booted, then acted the same as in 10.1.

I imagine that Cicso will release an updated client sooner or later...but for now, I will risk the "might cause your system to be less secure" for the sake of getting work done....after all, it can't be any less secure than it was in 10.1...right?

Cisco released v3.6 of their client two days ago, and that version works in 10.2.

Does the new version (3.6) support Firewall and/or virus scanner checking (or, at least, spoof it)? This is the only thing keeping me from using my Mac to connect to my company's VPN.

Do you have the Concentrator behind a firewall?

No, the problem is that my work is using a feature of the Windows client to check for a firewall on the connecting (my) machine (as well as anti-virus software). This feature is not supported by the 3.5 client.
