Hi there ...

i have a serious problem related to my QuickSilver G4's Sony CRX-155E CD Writer ... Just yesterday, i ejected a Tekken 2 (PS CD) and the problem occured ...

Whenever i press the eject key so that the CD tray will go into the CD Writer drive ... the whole system paused after the tray goes in ... After a few minutes delay, the CD tray automatically ejected itself ... The same incident occured again and again ... i just can't keep it in the CD Writer drive ...

i even have problem shutting down the whole system since the CD tray won't go in (unless i forced it) ... Then whenever i started my Mac ... it comes out again ... and again ... and again ...

Any solution for such serious problem or should i bring it the Mac dealer i bought my Mac from?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards from,
pmg4lktan

From what you described, it sounds like there is an internal failure of some sort inside the drive, if it's under warranty I'd get it fixed, if not, now is the time to look for a new drive.

Dude, try resetting your PRAM... or press the little button on your motherboard to reset it.
