I'm just curious if anyone else has had this problem (withOUT getting the usual 'PowerMail sucks/ is a ripoff/ slept with my wife and my mom routine), but I had/ have had NO problems selecting (and STICKING) PowerMail 4.0 as my default e-mail client in the Internet prefpane of Jaguar. However, it ABSOLUTELY REFUSES to make this setting stick. Downgrading back to 4.0 uh, 'solved' the problem.

Any others with this problem, or any ideas or suggestions? I have already tried trashing out 'LS' and '.DS_Store' files, as well as multiple logins/ outs...

Mark.

More Internet Preference Pane. Give it a try and see if it works!

I think I have PowerMail 4.0, that's what the about screen says. I just verified that the System Preferences refuses to honor my settings for default mail app. It also refuses to honor my settings for my default web browser. That has been driving me nuts. When I click on a link in PowerMail, it keeps bringing up IE 5 instead of Chimera. When I look in the System Preferences, the settings for Mail and Web keep getting reset back to their defaults.

I think this is a bug in 10.2. Pretty annoying one at that too.
