I found the button in Get Info that says Stop Indexing but when I press it indexing does not stop ? I could kill the process but I'm not sure thats a good idea.

the info window -- at least here -- doesn't always seem to correctly update its gui.

what happens if you close the info window and open it again? does it still say it was indexing?
