i'm stuck in a dilemma.... today i notice on the Rockstar Social Club that the 100% club has been extended to may 19th. This means i could use some guides online and probably finish up to 100% before the end date and receive a "key to the city" although i don't know what this is, i kinda want one or i can continue on my no guided way and finish in a few weeks... decisions decisions

I'd just do the guides. The pigeons aren't worth the effort (though I plan on seeing is I can get past 50 or even 75 on my own).

I'm also curious what the section of the site unlocks.

Meh not really. I mean the offend every other minority in the game so why stop at gays? Not to mention your mission is a bit nobel as it is one of the few characters Niko is nice to AND the mission with bernie is to get back at a homophobe bothering Bernie.

It was also the funniest part of the game for me watching Bernie jog. That run was hilarious.

Bernie is turning into one of my favorite characters thus far. He's funny, and he runs funny. It also makes me feel all macho and stuff to protect him.

Also, does anyone know if there is a certain way stunt jumps need to be completed? Is it distance, or where you land, or combination of the two? Last night I tried to complete 2 stunt jumps I found and after about 10 tries I gave up. It just wouldn't give them to me. Any ideas?

I think it is just distance. Get a fast car and go as fast as you can.

Turns out I can't get 100% no matter what I do. I guess I didn't do Roman's last mission before the fire, so I'm permanently stuck at 66% for his missions.

I'll post a screenshot of my stats if you want. Roman is definitely stuck at 66% and I'm already on the last island.

Maybe in a car... definitely not on a bike. I was cruising island three last night and did two jumps that I wrecked almost and died from, but completed.

Oh, do a Brucie race in a bike. That's harder than using a tuned Blista.

Hmm...well then maybe there are later missions coming up. It seems like in the story right now there's nothing left to do with Roman, and I have no options to do any missions for him on my cell phone (I never once did a cab mission for him, which I thought was what I was missing).

You have to actually get both wheels to touch at the landing. After that, though, you can wreck spectacularly and still have it count.

But if you land upside down (as I have a few times) it'll tell you "not good enough".

In a car, me too. But on this particular jump with a bike, I made the required distance then wrecked in mid-air and got it.

Nah, mine was on a bike too. Landed upside down 3 times before I got a car and nailed it on the second try. Annoying.

Weird.

On a random note, I found a hidden jump (I think) in Dukes that looks like is only really feasible with a bike. Its at an odd angle, thanks to a fence partially in the way. I did attempt it in a car, and managed to get some air, but mostly because I wrecked and went out of my windshield. I think it'll be my 30th jump if I manage to do it tonight.

Alright, complaint time. My mind is completely blown that there are only 4 places to buy clothes in the game, 2 of which are the same. Further, they tease you at the first store beginning by giving you hats and glasses, but no other store has a selection. I also swear I saw a pic somewhere of Niko wearing a very metro coat & open collar shirt, but I haven't seen that option in the game.

I think it's obvious they'll add some as DLC (watch this be the exclusive crap the 360 gets). I don't wonder if one of the duplicate Perseus' will get transformed into something else.

Edit: And I want Niko's fingerless gloves.

I think I have that one. It's a $2000 suit at one of the Perseus stores (they do both sell different items).

Something I noticed last night, if you hit a stunt jump with someone in the car with you and that person is talking, their voice slows down along with the action. Slo-mo voice.

I did find out that for stunt jumps, its not really distance but location where you land that determines whether or not you get the jump completed. A buddy of mine bought the strat guide and it shows all the locations and tells you where you need to land each jump in order to get it completed.

Here's a video guide to all the stunt jumps:
Nail all 50 Stunt Jumps in GTA IV, Grand Theft Auto IV Xbox 360 Features | GamesRadar

And there are plenty of them that are bike only jumps.

I'll save that for a last resort.

I noticed Boguesy somehow found all 50 without a guide.

Unfortunately no, i found about 40ish without the guide yesterday (i'm trying for the 100% before the 19th) and had to use one for the last 10, there are some WEIRD ones that i would of never found.

although i'm completely still in the dark with this "key to the city" i'll receive, i'm still working on the 100% before the 19th, i finished up the random character missions today (no guide, its pretty easy) and now i'm at 97.5%, i need 194 dirty flying rats and i'm done, i think i'll bust out the guide tonight and try to knock out a 50 or so.

Advice for pigeon hunters:
1. Bring a sniper
2. Bring grenades
3. Think outside the box
4. Bring your climbing gear

A few more details I spotted:

There's a dashboard light that turns on and off when you in and out of your car (Noticed on Stallion convertible)
Just like cars have varying degrees of cleanliness, their tires have varying degrees of wear and tear (not confirmed; noticed on Feltzer convertible)
Take out your camera phone in a strip club
Burnout for 10+ seconds

The stunt jump I thought I found wasn't a stunt jump, and I found two more like it last night. That blows.

Man, cars are hard to explode anymore (from regular driving).

Edit: Oh yeah, both Perseus' have the same exact clothing stock -- and a very annoying guy who got himself shot in the head from giving me **** about my gun too much.

So is it a glitch or a feature that you can replace the pants on a suit outfit with any bottoms you like, but only if you purchase them (i.e., not changeable in the closet)?

I noticed that too last night. I went into both of them and they were identical. But Modo has different clothes. A little more casual/trendy. I like the sneakers and jeans from there. Right now I'm wearing the red sneakers from Modo, black jeans from Modo, the black flight jacket from the Russian place, and the sunglasses form the Russian place. I look hot.

I'm not sure if its a glitch or a feature, but I noticed that too early on. Something else I notice is that my glasses randomly go away at some point. I have to go put them back on at a safehouse if I want them back. Pretty annoying.

Something I found myself impressed with last night was the ragdoll system they are using (forget the name at the moment). Its pretty damn cool to watch when you're drunk with a friend. To watch them stumble around, reacting to everything in the environment dynamically. Steadying themselves with their hands if they happen to run into a car or obstacle. Tripping over curbs and each other. None of it seems scripted at all, its just a great ragdoll system.

EDIT: Weird, it put my post at the top of this page, even though I posted it well after the others on this page. Must be a clock issue going on.
