No, I buggered 'em up last time I edited them, they'll be centered properly. And that's carbon app's popup buttons, same deal as unfinished stuff.

esXX, I love how you deal with fireass.
Hehe, I popped him on my ignore-list now anyway - can't be bothered wasting more time.

I love NewsFire, I'll definitely do the required images for the Extras pack.

Personally, when I was testing, I used a dark-ish grey for the select colour ("Tungsten" in the crayon-picker was nice, but I guess "Aqua" or "Ocean" would be more fitting for the blue, the latter fitting more with the menu-bar highlight colour).

Thanks for all the nice comments everyone!

U'll see how it makes this and other forums that much nicer to browse...

As for the theme. The only thing I have to say is that I have a hard time in Safari for example to tell if I can click on the back or forward arrows. They aren't darkened enough when selectable.

The contrasts, the colour of the fonts/background etc.

It's somewhere in the thread.

That you know what the average GUI modder wants. Debatable, but that's what it means.

esXXI, not sure if this is something you forgot to update, but the finder bar icons on the top right are not "inverted" so that it will show up on a darker color menubar...

They are. Try logging out and logging back in and making sure you have "Restart Menu Extras" checked in ShapeShifter.

A couple of things bug me about this theme.

1. it looks blurry, out of focus, especially the back/forward buttons. there's no real sense of depth to the interface.

2. washed out. there's not really enough contrast - in either version of the theme. while the theme maty appear easy on the eyes, prolonged usage can be tiresome, especially if you have to look to make sure you're pushing the right buttons.

3. i realise that ti is not the final release, but it ought to be noted that the buttons in adobe photoshop are still aqua, some of the fetch interface is aqua.

while i prefer the flatter look of good grey, milk or even in motion, i'm willing to give this a try (its been running on this g5 in my office for a day now).

Agreed with pyn here. I have been using this theme pretty much all the time for a long time now, betas and all, and I can't seem toget enough of it. I change to another theme and they don't fit right.
The contrast for me grew on me and now I love it.

Just mho, but let it grow on you.

Can anyone offer a mirror? I didn't expect LuGUI to be this popular, and at this rate VanillaSoap will bomb out in 2-4 days.. I submitted it to InterfaceLIFT but I'm still waiting for them to add it, so in the meantime I'd really appreciate mirror(/s).

Thanks, here's to over 1,200 downloads of LuGUI!

I will be putting it on my other server soon to spread the load more, the second one has a 6bg bandwidth so please use that to when it's up.

EDIT2: mirror two removed, sorry about this but my host is complaining and I don't want to loose this one aswell as my old site you guys maxed out in three days.

Thanks heaps for the mirrors, the first post is amended.

Andddd.. And a happy note: I'm already powering my way through my next theme, I don't want to give any info or ETA on it.. But I'm really enjoying it, and progress is steaming ahead (even though I've only been working on it for like four days). This one won't be released beta-ish, like LuGUI, because I'd like to get it done, released and out of my mind until it requires updating. Once it is out, LuGUI will be resumed and finished off.

1. Yes, three months on LuGUI was plenty "in a row."
2. I'm not entirely sure.. All I can say really is, LuGUI will be completed once my next theme is ready and released, if I continue at this pace with breaks I see no real reason why this new theme won't be out for xmas or new years.

Man, this theme is pimpjuice here. I've been using it for a few days now, and it's incredibly easy on the eyes. Great job, I look forward to future releases. So far, I really haven't found anything I don't like, so keep it up! Top marks, old bean.

Another suggestion:
Font panels
DragThing Tabs [It says in TP in one of the rsrc description that these old tabs are only used by a few apps, naming DT]

I found a few good colors for it.

R 131 G 209 B 245 [Moderate Teal: My fav]

R 121 G 179 B 253 [Stronger teal-blue]

R 193 G 222 B 251 [Darker teal]

R 219 G 236 B 243 [A much lower contrast light teal-blue]

R 147 G 216 B 255 [The new Milk 2.5 Blue]
