Update.
It didn't take long. I was at the mall yesterday and some lady opened her door and smacked my car in the door, while I was getting back into it. Well, I went around to the passenger side to get a look and she freaked out, started crying and almost fainted. She didn't do any damage despite such a hard hit, carbon fiber is really difficult to ding, but she did leave a tiny mark in the paint. After ~ 5min my wife and I got her calmed down and told her that everything was okay. She apologized at least a dozen times.
So, after getting home I got out the Lambo touch-up paint and then today I buffed it out. Now you can't even tell that it was hit. The car's as tough as nails.

How stupid do you have to be to open your door into a Lambo? Careless doesn't even enter into the equation - there's no way of being ignorant to the Lambo parked next to your car.

She was an older woman, maybe in her 60s, driving a big Olds tankmobile. Her daughter was the real problem, though. She kept yelling at her mother saying, "you just hit a half million dollar car!". I thought the old lady was going to have a heart attack.

How stupid do you have to be to open your door into any other car? It's not like you can ever miss a 3,000 lbs cage of steel three feet away from you.

It's really cool a) that you drive the car for day to day stuff, b) that you're not THAT person who parks their shiny toy across 2 parking spaces so no one will ding it, and c) that you're not THAT person who freaks out at an old lady about a ding. Plus you did your own touchup!
Kudos!

I would totally park that car across two spaces. It has nothing to do with being "THAT person" - it has everything to do with that old lady Shaddim described above, and everything to do with other random accidents such as kids, poor drivers, etc.
I would never park that car in one parking spot in a public lot.

If you can't park your car without being a *********, you need a cheaper car.

Usually I just park further out to avoid this type of thing, but the mall was crowded and there weren't any clear spaces available in BFE. So I grabbed a spot that opened up close to the main doors.
From now on I'll just let an attendant park it in the valet lot, to keep this from happening anymore.

I would sooner park next to the old lady again then let some teenager drive that car. Even if they are responsible for any damage, the thought of it terrifies me.

I mentioned it to a friend and she said, "you have actually watched Ferris Bueller, right?"

Some of the really expensive cars have regenerative paint, it heals itself being in the sun.
