Actually I think I would regret getting the white more. There's nothing worse than not buying what you really want.

I'll give you the latter, though not the former.

True enough. Still, I find the $150 mark-up from Apple ridiculous, even if such mark-ups are standard practice elsewhere.

I purchased a BlackMacBook and even though it's been only a week, not a scratch. Even the oil smudges come off easily with a damp microfiber cloth. This machine rocks and I wouldn't go back to white for nothing! Already upgraded the Ram to 2gigs and it knocks the socks off of my 15" Powerbook G4. The $200 premium was worth it to me! :-)

I don't have access to a camera at the moment, but I can assure you, no excessive grease. I do have to admit that I barely touch the track pad. My Macbook is almost always plugged into my cinema display with a keyboard and mouse.

you know what, i had/have an ikea desk in my home when i was away at school, ( i had the coolest desk setup, it was a huge L desk that i made with two different desktops. )
the ikea desk was very solid and never gave me trouble, it wasnt one of the particle board ones though, it was a larger tabletop.
i was very happy with it though

Seeing the MacBook next to the DS reminds me of this picture I took a while back. Sorry for "crashing" the thread...

I took a couple more quick shots of the MB vs. my 15" MBP and my 12" PB.
Next to the 15" MBP. (the beautiful desktop background pic on the MB courtesy of Star-Fire)
No glare seen on the 13" screen.
The same shot but taken at an angle. There's a window to the left of the MB and that's why you now see the glare of the glossy screen really well.
MB vs. 15" MBP. They are both aligned at the left hinge-side corner. The 15" MBP sticks out quite a bit more. Both have almost equal height.
Same shot, but now MB vs. 12" PB. Again both are aligned at the back corner. The PB is clearly thicker than the MB.

Unless I was a millionaire (and even if I was) I wouldn't have more than one model of the same computer for personal use. unless you're making $$$ w/them. I would like to spread out my tech a little. But to each his own (or should it be two each his own, in this case )

Heh, it's funny I swaped a white for a black, I really like the way the logo stands out on the back. They are booth very nice in there own way, the black just reminds me of the Monolith from 2001, and 2010, hence why mine is named Monolith

It's like Corona beer here in the states. When we used to drink it in Mexico (35 years ago) it was the cheapest to drink and they gave you a lime to squeeze in to kill the taste. Now it is popular here because it is imported but last time I tried one still tastes bad.

I laugh when I travel overseas and they try to sell me imported beer (Budweiser) or imported wine (from California). They don't get it when I want to order the local stuff (whcih to me is imported .... ) ROFL.
