Well, I very, very rarely play ranked, so my skill rank is shockingly low, but I'll throw my name in.

Charlie Blue — skill rating 2 (srsly, no typo)
Available: W-F any time after 6:30 PST, pretty much anytime on weekends

Of course, if y'all don't want to team up with someone of such sketchy rank, I'd understand. Just thought it sounded fun.

The more the merrier, Chuckit. It'll be strange to play a game with you after being members here for so long.

I'll be on Thursday, I have no work Friday so I can play all night.

I'm actually getting pretty excited about this. It looks like we might be able to get a good crew.

We'e not concerned about skill per se, I'm just trying to gauge it for divvying up the group for a few friendly Team Slayer games. And one unfriendly one.

Alright, without everyone having weighed in yet, let's consider tomorrows get together informal. 9pm EST (6 PST)
(Also, I added names and times up at the top of the page, for convenience's sake)

On the agenda:
A few free-for-alls to warm up (More if we're having a good time)
A few Team Slayer games (hopefully we balance the teams by the end)
A Legendary Battle on my Sandtrap Variant (Provided we have 6 or more peeps and no one objects outright)
We do the BTB thing, and somebody helps me get a boatload of Wheelmans
We brag and post pictures in this thread the next day

Oh, I created a cheat sheet for everyone.

I think tonight I will go through and friend request those I have neglected thus far. This should allow late-comers to join our games in progress, if need be.

Sounds like way too much fun for me to skip. I don't play Halo 3 much anymore thanks to TF2, but I'll hop on tomorrow night and play. Gamertag is "thejokell".

I have a friend who is a lurker here as well - can he be invited or should we exclude the non posters?

All glory to the hypnotoad.

Cool. If you'd like to provide availability info (like everyone else) for future outings, it'd be much appreciated.

I initially said I was open to guests, in case we had a bad turn out. We have a good turn out here (at least it looks that way), so I'm going to back away from that a little bit and say everyone is invited to bring one guest, mostly with the purpose of helping keep our party size even numbered.

However, if they're too good (I imagine we'll be worrying about sek more), or we have too many people when we go into MM, they will be politely asked to leave first. Does this sound fair to everyone?

You may want to borrow a mic for tomorrow night, fatty. And no need to feel self-conscious as you've heard my pre-pubescent voice. My sarcasm on these forums will never hold same bite for you people ever again.
don't contradict that they have bite smartasses

I feel bad for the first person who sticks me and hears a girly scream.

I apologize in advance for whatever drunken/stoned behavior that may be going on in the background.

I can wrangle a mic from my buddy cheezydog who is at Best Buy right now getting his replacement box so he could join us. It would balance out the scheme of things having two +40s.

That's the spirit, and I was considering that about cheezy. Course, that leaves kb as the lone 30s guy. We'll figure it out.

This thing sounds like it has the potential to be gigantic now.

I know that. But he says he doesn't play ranked, so I'm not gonna make the guy look bad just for that. jokell's in the same boat anyway (He's a 4). I've seen how bad people can be, and if my friends can make 10 Ranked, guaranteed these guys can. Guaranteed.

Sorry, available around 6 or so and after that on weeknights, and pretty much all weekend EST. And yeah, my ranking sucks. I can count on one hand the number of ranked matches I've played. I'm much better with a keyboard and mouse. Go easy on me.

Oh yeah, in the interest of fairness, if anyone has a Forged level they'd like us to play on, please put it up on your File Share and we'll squeeze it in tomorrow night.

47 eh?

The difference between 40 and 50 is like 0 and 30 IMO. Not just in overall skill but the difficulty of ranking up.

I don't even know if my Forge level is suitable for large-scale play. I took it off my share recently, but I can throw it back on just in case we feel adventurous.

Edit: I guess this thread was a success after all.

Well, I had a great idea last night. We should get a group shot of the NNers, like so:

I'd also like to take a moment to cry about the best shoulders only being unlockable through the damned Mongoose Mowdown achievement.

I can't watch these, because I'm at work, but it's starting to become my wheelman's dream to splatter someone with an airborne warthog.

BTW, taking a Warthog through a mancannon is very unsatisfying.

Edit: If anyone has played Rocket Race's Sandtrap Tricks, then you know about the one checkpoint that floats in mid-air that you need to jump with a mongoose. It'd be fun to remove the checkpoint, have someone in a Hornet hover there, and have a couple of dudes on a Mongoose jump over it.

--we should probably save these fancy ideas for when we have a smaller crew, or of we do this with any semblance of regularity.

Edit 2: Do we have any Rocket racers in here? That'd be fun if at some point we have a crew of 6 or 8.

The official stance of the government on this issue is "yes."

Actually, it was one of those things that results from trying eleventy billion names you want, getting rejected and finally asking yourself, "OK, what the **** isn't used?" It comes from the fact that anybody named Chuck will invariably get a "Charlie Brown," "Chuckles the Clown" or "Charles In Charge" joke at least once a week.

By the way, I'll see if I can make it tonight, but I might be a tad late.

9pm is sort of an early bird goal (start meeting in the lobby). ::maroma::'s official availability starts at 10pm. starman has informed me he may not make it, but if he does, it'll be after 10.30.

---

Oh, and I got a response from Chris (posted earlier, like page 2). He has some messed up priority called school interfering, and urged us to hold multiple outings so he may join in a later one.

Playing against upper 40s kind of levels the playing field. I'm impressed with your stats though. You have more triple kills than me and I guess I have yet to get a ranked Overkill. You've also got more assasinations too.

Nice work, Dakar.

Edit: After going between 41 and 42 all last night I finally ranked up to 43! Yay!
