Thanks! Great help.

Sleeve is vertical, too :-)

Are you happy with it? I'm still deciding between Brenthaven 17 Backpack and Tucano Second Skin 17" sleeve.

Ehm, another question:

Is there just the "main department" and the "top department" or is there yet another one for books, notepads (etc.)? Or can I only transport the PB with this backpack?

I'm very happy with it. I did look at a few other sleeves/bags. I wanted a backpack (and not a shoulder bag, etc.). This was the best in my opinion.

There *is* space for a couple of reasonably thick books. You should be able to carry the PB17 + its standard accessories + a couple of books + some random stuff. Not too bad.

Remember that the bag in itself is about 4 lbs though.

Thanks iohead.

I e-mailed Brenthaven and asked if they'd sell the sleeve as a spare part. Let's see what they're saying.

I can't tell from the photos - does the sleeve have a handle?

And how about the pack itself?

Thanks.

Yes, both have handles. Very sturdy ones too.

io: Can you give some indication as to how much space you have to fit extra stuff? I don't have books, but I do have rubbermade tupperware containers for lunches and stuff that I bring back and forth to work, aswell as a sports drink shaker which is ~4" in diameter.
