I use Word v.X for my reports. After generating PDFs from other apps and inserting them into Word, they seem to become bitmapped, both on-screen and after printing. Maybe it is just using the Preview of the file.

To get good quality images, I need to open the PDF in Acrobat, save as an EPS and then insert the EPS into Word. This works well, but I am curious to know if I can achieve the same effect with a PDF.

Cheers.

I use the "copy text" feature of the Adobe Reader, then (very laboriously) correct formatting in my Word document. Every time I've embedded a PDF in a document, I've had problems with both size and resolution.

I don't think Word (at least the Mac version) handles inserted PDFs well. Savinga s EPS is probably okay. You could also save the PDF as a 300 dpi JPEG and insert that into Word.

This is another example of losing feature parity across platforms...in Word XP, inserted PDFs do just fine.
I do not like those green links and spam.
I do not like them, Sam I am.
