You can share a bluetooth connection via airport or ethernet, but you can't share an internet connection via bluetooth.

[slight conjecture]The problem is that bluetooth doesn't have the bandwidth to handle things like lots of tcp/ip requests and sending of lots of little files, like you'd send with internet sharing. 36K/sec is the highest transfer rate I've gotten, so even if you could connect that way it'd be hella slow. [/slight conjecture]

I'd check out ip over firewire-I believe that might be able to do what you're looking for.

I'm not sure that the above is absolutely correct. I've used Bluetooth to share internet connections from my PC to PDAs and my P800 with acceptable results. I've not been able to achieve the same on my Mac as I don't have Bluetooth...

As far as I'm aware Bluetooth's throughput is way above a normal dial-up account and even basic broadband at approximately 700kbps.

Try looking at this page on MacOSXhints which seems to point the way to succesful sharing over bluetooth:

I used to connect to the internet with BT through my cell phone, but I don't think sharing between machines is possible.

Even if it was, it would be like hitting yourself repeatedly with large fresh haddock. Pointless... there is just not enough bandwidth to do anything useful.

Thanks, I guess firewire is the solution, just was hoping it could happen through wireless magic.
