That is the funniest stuff I've heard in a long time.
Sounds like some of the discussions around here in the past....

Oh. It's from the Phil Hendry show. That should tell y'all a little something.

Funny, but obviously contrived.

I'll stop using the term "colored" as soon as they do.
I'm somewhat of an enigma: an atheist conservative.

What's the story with the Phil Hendry show? I've never heard of it before.

This guy is a definite idiot! From a caller- "Is that because you drive like an idiot?" His comparison to a Camaro and a stealth bomber was fo real, yo!

I think Phil is known for making up stuff, or having stuff "acted" out. I remember a story involving him where he played 3 different people himself in a skit without anybody knowing...

Phil Hendrie has a radio show where he plays radio host AND guest at the same time. He does both voices, and makes the guests as outrageous and idiotic as possible. Poor, unknowning listeners who are not in on the joke (and it is honestly no secret, he openly talks at times about his 'characters') call in and rail against the guests only to be horribly belittled, which fuels their anger even more. Often you have a good shouting match between and unknown rube and a ficticious football coach who encourages his athletes to force sex on teammates as part of a male bonding ritual. Often, the show is entertaining, but usually it just annoys...

You can read a very interesting article about Phil hendrie.
The only real characters on his show are the callers.
The hookthe kicker, as they like to say in Hollywoodis that Hendrie does the voices of all his guests, some 40 regular characters in all, while the callers themselves are real.

This skit is good. It is a sort of Mark and Brian work, but subtle and drawn out.

"I've gotten up to 90 mph on I-5"
...who hasn't?!?!
Shock was discovering that there really WERE freeways with 55 mph speed limits in the bay area.

First I've heard of the guy. Looks like I have to dig out my SuperRadio and try to tune him in- his closest affiliate is about 50 miles away.
The one guy doing multiple voices reminds me of Kevin Matthews, who used to be on WLUP in Chicago. Jim Shorts, Darnell the Space Alien... anybody else know him? I was a big KevHead when I lived in Chicagoland.
