Looked at my Console log today, and noticed that whenever I woke machine from sleep I get this in log about iCal:

2004-02-15 18:33:04.615 iCal Helper[1090] index does not exist, rebuilding it with name : Home
2004-02-15 18:33:04.637 iCal Helper[1090] Launch of helper planned at : 02/15/04 19:33:04


Any ideas from OSX gurus what this means? I'm puzzled since I never use iCal (Entourage instead) and have only launched it about twice sinec getting this G4 12inch a few months back! iCal definitely not running in background either.

Haven't tried obvious things yet like logging out and back which may fix it. No problems being caused but why the message?

I can't say anything for sure since I'm no iCal expert. I have, however, noticed that iCal has some background processes running all the time (to set off alarms should you enable one in iCal, etc.). So it may be the case that this background process is running into some problems.

My suggestion is to do the basic maintenance steps. Fsck your drive and repair your permission. Best of luck!
